The Ghostwriters’ Haunt

Welcome to Ghost Writers’ Haunt, a place for shy writers to post their work, ask for critiques, and be part of a vivacious creative community. If you’d like to become a Jane Doe Writer, please (1) read the policy below; (2) contact us if you have questions or concerns about the policy; and (3) request a log-in account for the site.

Option 1: Create a WordPress account using your desired alias or pen name. Email us and we will add you as a contributor.

Option2: If you would prefer not to create a new WordPress account, you can publish your work anonymously as “Jane Doe Writers”. Contact us to request access and we’ll send you the username and password for the Jane Doe Writers account.

Whether you choose Option 1 or Option 2, you must confirm in your email to us that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the policy described herein. After we receive you email, we will establish your access to the site. Once you have a working username and password, you may publish your written work to the Haunt. When you post your story, please create a Category (your story title) so that readers will be able to find all posts related to that story. If you are posting under a unique alias, you can also create a Category for your pen name.

Progressive Story: The progressive story is a story written by multiple authors. If you want to take part in writing the progressive story, be sure to have read all previous posts. Then, you should email us to let us know that you’d like to go next. Don’t start writing until you’ve heard from us! (We plan to add a forum to the site, so in the future, you’ll be able to check the thread for a story and see if anyone has signed up to write next.) You have 3 days from the time you hear from us to post your chapter of the story. If you fail to publish your submission by the end of the third day, you could forfeit your place in line.

Off limits! You can write about anything you’d like with the exception of:

• Erotica
• Gratuitous violence
• Non-fiction
• Poetry

If you violate these restrictions, your work will be removed from the site.

Artwork:

If you would like to include images with your written work, please use free stock images or your original artwork so as not to infringe on another artist’s copyright (unless you properly credit the work of others) if not your own.

Ghostwritershaunt.com reserves the right to select and arrange submissions, and to remove information from the Ghostwritershaunt.com website at any time at its sole discretion. No image or text from this site may be used for any purpose without expressed written authorization, unless it is your own work: you may post the Members of Jane Doe Writers image as a link to this site.
